Kedi Residential facility for Tribal Girls is located at Dharampur in the rural area of South Gujarat which is pronounced economically backward tribal area. 70% of its area is covered with hills and dense forests. 95% of its population of various tribes inhabits hamlets which are located 3 to 5 kms away from each other. Most of the tribal are marginally literate, small time farmers and also work as migrant, seasonal and day workers.

Awareness for Literacy, Health, Personal Hygiene and Gender Equality is very little.

Kedi is specifically geared to address Issues of Gender, Class and Societal Stratification by trying to raise awareness through education.
