Kedi offers the tribal girls a place where learning is not relegated to just academics and laurels but encompasses emotional, psychological, health, and social development. It allows them time to balance their own tribal beliefs and practices with the divergent beliefs and practices in society at large with the help of specially designed pedagogy.

At Kedi, the purpose of education is not narrowed down to mere accumulation of certificates and degrees, but to act as a catalyst for change that permeates the whole community and society. Education fortifies their aptitude with theoretical and practical understanding of the world around them. It equips them to face the challenges of change and adaptation for survival, livelihood and progress.

Dealing with the tribal girls requires a sensitive approach since we deal with fragile communities. Policies of mass education will fail, if their needs and backgrounds are not addressed.
